摘要: Summary This article examines whether Eastern enlargement has led the EU 15 member states to enter strategic interactions implying a race bottom. The question is concerns about welfare migration have downward pressure on in form of more restrictive access their labour markets and adjustments social policy benefits. We find little empirical evidence support asumption that with generous benefits accessible will become magnets for migration. Nevertheless, study demonstrates do as if such would occur. majority them temporarily restricted free movement workers from acceding countries. least restrictions are ones most active adjusting policies. Strategic may thus intensify future transitional periods come an end enlargements into place.
