摘要: We examined the relation between pressure-induced performance decrements, or “choking under pressure,” in mathematical problem solving and individual differences working memory capacity. In cognitively based academic skills such as math, pressure is thought to harm by reducing capacity available for skill execution. Results demonstrated that only individuals high were harmed pressure, and, furthermore, these decrements limited math problems with highest demands on These findings suggest harms most qualified succeed consuming they rely their superior performance.
