摘要: Changes in the global atmospheric abundance of a substance are determined by balance between its emissionand removal. Declines observed for ozone-depleting substances (ODSs) controlled under Montreal Protocol due to emission reductions that have made emissions smaller than removals. Mot ODSs potent greenhouse gases. As majority been phased out, demand hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) and hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) substitutes increased; these also HCFCs deplete much less ozone per kilogram emitted chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), while HFCs essentially no ozone.
