摘要: Abstract Objective: The objective of this study was to compare intracervical prostaglandin E 2 gel with insertion a Foley bulb for efficacy in preinduction cervical ripening. Study Design: Women who came the hospital induction labor Bishop score ≤5 were randomly assigned treatment either or bulb. Prostaglandin used according manufacturer's recommendation. group had number 14 catheter inserted, inflated, and placed on traction. Immediately after extrusion 6 hours course completion, dilute oxytocin solution started if patient not labor. Results: Seventy-seven women entered into 72 group. Both ripening (6.5 vs 5.1, P = .015) significantly higher There no differences between groups mode delivery, infant weight, rate hyperstimulation, shoulder dystocia, discomfort, epidural use, nonreassuring fetal heart patterns. time (9.9 17.2 hours, Conclusion: Use resulted postinduction score, greater change shorter time, lower charges than did gel.
