摘要: A numerical simulation of the airflow over Island Arran, is described and results, particularly vertical velocity fields, are qualitatively compared with airborne observations made using a light aircraft. The sophisticated Clark meso-scale model used in nested construction, an outer domain size 64km*80km spatial resolution only Δy=100m inner domain. This study demonstrates that meteorological models, for first time can realistically simulate flow on such scales, parallel supercomputers. These preliminary results also indicate beginning to resolve observed atmospheric turbulence structure scale 20m, it now feasible prescribe these flows.
