摘要: We evaluated the clinical usefulness of determinations alpha 1-acid glycoprotein microheterogeneity patterns in distinguishing patients who have active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) from those SLE with intercurrent infection. used agarose affinity electrophoresis concanavalin A (Con A) as a ligand. Results were expressed reactivity coefficients (RC), which are ratios variants reactive Con to not A. No significant differences found between mean RC (+/- SD) healthy individuals (1.35 +/- 0.26) and that various degrees activity. In contrast, significantly higher was sera infection (2.70 0.76) compared each other groups studied (P less than 0.001). An greater 2.25 none 42 without 15 18 (sensitivity 83%, specificity 100%). C-reactive protein (CRP) levels also very disease 0.05). Levels CRP 60 mg/liter 3 8 39%, 93%). The results show patients, finding relative increase A-bound serum is more sensitive indicator increased CRP.
