摘要: The instant invention is directed to a process for the manufacture of poly(dimethyldiallyl ammonium chloride) comprising: (a) casting upon continuous belt apparatus form film having thickness 1/4 inch 1 an aqueous dimethyldiallyl chloride solution monomer concentration at least 65 percent, by weight, monomer, said also containing photoreducible dye in 1×10 -7 -4 moles per liter, mild reducing agent -5 -2 liter and thermal initiator liter; (b) passing under series lights which emit visible light intensity 0.1 10,000 foot candles controlling temperature range 5° C. 65° C.; (c) allowing polymerization proceed until polymer gel formed; (d) size step reduction means, so as produce particles are less than their longest dimension; (e) further polymerizing size-reduced obtain higher conversion, thereby producing polydimethyldiallyl 70 active polymer, readily soluble free-flowing. free-flowing, water-soluble granules chloride), wherein contain polymer.
