摘要: New techniques for the generation and quantitative visualization of breaking progressive internal waves are presented. Laboratory applicable to general stratified flow experiments also demonstrated. The planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) technique is used produce calibrated images wave process, details PLIF measurements described in terms necessary corrections considerations application flows. Results presented, which show that nature strongly dependent on type considered.
