摘要: Abstract To evaluate the performance of reinforced concrete beam-column joints, two different types exterior joints i.e. (gravity load designed and ductile designed) are considered. First, shear strength (representing reinforcement distribution) is analytically evaluated using softened strut tie model. check under coupled shear-torsion loading, experimental investigations on reverse cyclic loading carried out. The important behaviour parameters such as load-displacement hysteresis, energy dissipation, damage formation stiffness degradation evaluated. It found that analytical prediction differently very close. Further, it emphasized torsion has a significant detrimental effect specifically those which under-designed. From study, dissipation corresponding to per cycle drift provides much better insight than from cumulative dissipation. also structural strength, deformation provide complementary information for evaluating shear-torsion.
