Research Expectations Among African American Church Leaders in the PRAISE! Project: A Randomized Trial Guided by Community-Based Participatory Research

摘要: Objectives. This study sought to examine the expectations and satisfaction of pastors lay leaders regarding a research partnership in randomized trial guided by community based participatory (CBPR) methods. Methods. Telephone self-administered print surveys were administered 78 leaders. In-depth interviews conducted with 4 after completion. Results. The combined survey response rate was 65%. Research included honest frequent communication, sensitivity church environment, interaction as partners, results provided churches. Satisfaction high, but so concern about need for all teams establish trust partners. Conclusions. Pastors have high university obligations partnerships. An intervention on CBPR methods able meet most these expectations.
