摘要: Hepatocellular lipid accumulation is a hallmark of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), which encompasses spectrum ranging from simple steatosis to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and ultimately cirrhosis. Zinc finger protein 267 (ZNF267) belongs the family Kruppel-like transcription factors, regulate diverse biological processes that include development, proliferation, differentiation. We have previously demonstrated ZNF267 expression up-regulated in cirrhosis further increased hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Here, we analyzed tissue specimens NAFLD patients found significant up-regulation compared normal tissue. Noteworthy, mRNA was already significantly steatotic without inflammation. In line with this, incubation primary human hepatocytes palmitic acid induced dose-dependent corresponding induction vitro. Furthermore, formation reactive oxygen species (ROS), also chemically ROS expression. summary previous findings, revealed as pro-fibrogenic pro-cancerogenic factor chronic disease, present study suggests promising therapeutic target particularly for patients. addition, it indicates hepatic per se has pathophysiological relevance should not be considered benign.
