摘要: Purpose A preliminary evaluation of the efficacy and safety treating patients with acute stroke intraarterial urokinase infusions was performed. Patients Methods Twelve were treated within 8 hours symptom onset (average, 5 hours). Thrombolysis performed middle cerebral ( n = 10), internal carotid 1), basilar 1) arteries. Urokinase (160,000–500,000 IU) infused through microcatheters placed into or adjacent to thrombi. Results angiographically successful in nine (75%), all whom had long-term neurologic improvement. No minimal deficits present six (50%). failed three (25%); one patient died two developed severe permanent deficits. hemorrhagic complications occurred. Conclusion Preliminary results suggest that infusion may be effective safe for stroke. Potentially devastating damage averted lessened (75%). additional caused by intervention remaining (25%).
