摘要: Superconducting quantum-coherent devices with small tunnel junctions offer the possibility to manipulate single Cooper pairs and control macroscopic quantum states. They may be used construct current standards [1] qubits [2]. For optimum performance, most require Josephson coupling energy E j = (h/4πe)I 0 (RK/R)Δ/8 of same order as charging c e 2/2CΣ, where R K h/e2≈ 25 kΩ, is junction resistance, Δ superconducting gap, CΣ total capacitance island.
