摘要: Abstract Polymer composites consisting of poly(γ-butyl L-glutamate) (PBuLG) and crosslinked poly(butyl acrylate) (PBuA) have been prepared by causing butyl acrylate (BuA) to polymerize in PBuLG-BuA cholesteric liquid crystalline states. The exhibited organizations bulk swollen Microscopic as well macroscopic swelling behaviour the was examined discussed relation their crosslink densities. About two-thirds PBuLG component could be eliminated from extraction with either chloroform or dichloroacetic acid (DCA), extracted still possessed organizations. Practically complete removal achieved hydrolytic a DCA-HCl mixture. PBuA polymer networks thus obtained no organization, but once again emerged when were solvents.
