Soft Tissue Cephalometric Measurements Among Malaysian Malays and Chinese

摘要: Objective: To obtain the standardized values of individuals Malaysian Malay and Chinese for further relevant research, such as treatment planning aesthetical considerations.  Material Methods: In this retrospective study, 440 (305 were Malays 135 Chinese) lateral cephalometric radiographs orthodontic patients selected through simple random sampling are profiled using Holdaway’s analysis. The independent t-test was used to assess disparities in race gender. significant level p<0.05 .  Results: Significant differences found between their skeletal profile convexity, superior sulcus depth, inferior H line nose prominence. Between females males, there soft tissue subnasale line, basic upper lip thickness, thickness males females, Conclusion: findings demonstrated difference norms unique profiles Chinese. There gender measurements among subjects.
