摘要: Neuromodulators including acetylcholine, norepinephrine, serotonin, dopamine and a range of peptides alter the processing characteristics cortical networks through effects on excitatory inhibitory synaptic transmission, adaptation pyramidal cells, membrane potential, rate modification, other parameters. Computational models self-organization associative memory function in structures such as hippocampus, piriform cortex neocortex provide theoretical framework which role these neuromodulatory can be analyzed. acetylcholine norepinephrine appear to enhance influence synapses from afferent fibers arising outside relative intrinsic association cells. This provides continuum between predominant external stimulation internal recall (extrinsic vs. intrinsic). Modulatory along this may underlie described terms learning memory, signal noise ratio, attention.
