摘要: The traditional view of adaptation to climate change tends assume that a national government is responsible for implementing technological measures (e.g., seeds, dams, irrigation schemes), which are selected on the basis specific knowledge future conditions. This has been widely challenged but still prevalent within sectors dominated by engineering, such as water and coastal management. purpose this chapter show while technology an important part play in adaptation, its effectiveness relies it being broader strategy acknowledges uncertainty addresses underlying drivers people’s current vulnerability.
