摘要: An 8-week study was performed to determine the effects of supplementing puerarin, most biologically active ingredient present in roots kudzu (Puerarin lobata), diets farmed chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) fingerlings. Puerarin given fish through supplementation commercial feed. Administration puerarin reduced cortisol, proteins, and hematocrit levels while improving spleen somatic indices respiratory burst response compared fed a control diet without affecting growth, thereby counteracts negative consequences stress induced handling experienced by reared aquaculture.
