摘要: Abstract The preparation of surfactant-templated mesoporous silica spheres functionalized with carnosine moieties (dipeptide β-alanyl- l -histidine) is described. procedure involves the hydrolysis and co-condensation a carnosine-containing organotriethoxysilane tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) in water/ethanol solution presence ammonia acting as catalyst cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) templating agent. resulting organic–inorganic hybrid displays spherical shape evidenced by electron microscopy narrow particle size distribution. It exhibits high specific surface area (775 m2 g−1), determined from N2 adsorption isotherm, XRD pattern characteristic mesostructure wormholelike framework. Functionalization was confirmed IR spectroscopy solid-state 29 Si 13 C MAS NMR. regular structure can be advantageously exploited processes where diffusion rate-determining step, exemplified for electrochemical detection trace copper(II) after preconcentration at carbon paste electrode modified material.
