摘要: Abstract In this study, the effect of MS2 bacteriophage on inactivation its Escherichia coli host was evaluated in an effort to recreate some main factors governing solar disinfection wastewater (namely microbial growth, infection, photonic flux). As such, kinetics sole or and their simultaneous were investigated synthetic secondary effluent accurately modeled by log-linear shoulder-log linear models, respectively. The observed revealed a minor influence between microorganisms during treatment phase. However, presence both strains affected bacterial regrowth post-irradiation period. Specifically, our results show increase (1-log) E. coli, but survival restriction (24- vs. 48-h decay). Experiments conducted at three different temperatures (4, 20 37 °C) two discharge matrices (lake water, seawater) indicate that healthy cells non-cultivable bacteria population dynamics, with (re)growth under mesophilic support viral life cycle. Noteworthy cases lake water (high levels) seawater (no growth). overall, study contributes deeper understanding dynamics (i.e. coliphage-bacteria interactions). extension, it unveils capacity exposure as method indicates possible health risks associated enteric bacterial-related diseases due incomplete mishandling.
