摘要: This study reports for the first time presence of Lusitanian ampeliscid amphipod Ampelisca lusitanica Bellan-Santini & Marques, 1986 in northwestern Atlantic coast Morocco. Specimens were collected January 2015 from intertidal rock pools along El Jadida shoreline associated with brown algae Bifurcaria bifurcata and Sargassum muticum. Systematic description species is presented, as well a discussion its ecological geographical distribution. new finding extends distribution (Europe) to Mauritanian (Africa) region increases knowledge ecology global A. found, previously, only on Portuguese Spanish coasts.
