Mitochondrial DNA analyses and the origin and relative age of parthenogenetic lizards (genus Cnemidophorus).

摘要: Morphological, karyological, and allozyme analyses indicate that the parthenogenetic lizards Cnemidophorus neomexicanus diploid C. tesselatus are hybrids formed, respectively, by crosses involving bisexual species tigris inornatus, septemvittatus. Mitochondrial DNA, which is inherited maternally, was obtained from each of these species. Analyses mitochondrial DNA's their restriction endonuclease digestion products electron microscopy agarose gel electrophoresis support hybridization hypothesis indicating (specifically subspecies marmoratus) maternal parent for both tesselatus. Furthermore, data imply two younger than some races tigris.
