摘要: Aedes albopictus (Diptera: Culicidae) was first reported in Central Africa 2000, together with the indigenous mosquito species aegypti Culicidae). Because Ae. can also transmit arboviruses, its introduction is a public health concern. We undertook comparative study three Cameroonian towns (Sahelian domain: Garoua; equatorial Douala and Yaounde) order to document infestation by two their ecological preferences. High variable levels of pre-imaginal were detected. Only encountered Garoua, whereas both found Yaounde, albeit significant differences relative prevalence. Peridomestic water containers most strongly colonized productive larval habitats for species. No major types habitat found, but preferentially bred containing plant debris or surrounded vegetation, tended breed located environments high density buildings. These findings may have important implications vector control strategies.
