摘要: The requirement of a safe and effective epithermal neutron beam for boron capture therapy (BNCT) has led to the investigation variety different types sources. A small number existing nuclear reactors have already developed beams that are predicted provide rapid therapy1,2. However, in event proposed clinical trials U.S. prove successful, it is anticipated hospital-based sources will be required this end development accelerator-based begun. Alternatively, may possible hospital based neutrons provided by an appropriately moderated or filtered from neutron-producing radionuclide. One potential isotope Californium-252.
