摘要: A series of four thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers were synthesized with varying proportions poly(hexamethylene oxide) (PHMO) and poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) macrodiols. The macrodiol ratios (by weight) employed (% PDMS:% PHMO) 100:0, 80:20, 50:50 20:80. weight fraction in each polymer was fixed at 60%. mixed macrodiols reacted 4,4'-methylenediphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) 1,4-butanediol (BDO) chain extender. biostability these polymers assessed by strained subcutaneous implantation sheep for three months followed microscopic examination. Pellethane 2363-80A 2363-55D as control materials. mechanical properties the tested discussed along results. results showed that soft, flexible PDMS-based polyurethanes very promising can be successfully produced using approach. formulation 80% PDMS best result terms a combination flexibility, strength biostability.
