摘要: Background Follicular dendritic cell (FDC) sarcoma is a rare, recently described neoplasm that shows differentiation similar to of follicular cells. It must be differentiated from metastatic neoplasms and other nonlymphoid nodal lesions. Case report A 76-year-old man underwent fine needle aspiration recurrent laterocervical mass. Sixteen months earlier, the original tumor was excised proved an FDC sarcoma. Smears exhibited dual population composed large cells with abundant cytoplasm lymphoid component consisted mainly lymphocytes plasma Large were atypical distributed in ill-defined groups as single Nuclei round oval pleomorphic, irregular contours nucleoli. Binucleation multinucleation occasionally seen. After cytologic diagnosis, showed typical histologic immunophenotypic features Conclusion The morphologic seem characteristic enough permit its preoperative recognition. Its definition increases our knowledge nonlymphoid, primary tumors, allowing better neoplasms.
