摘要: Abstract This Atlas summarises the global distribution of extant organic-walled dinoflagellate cysts in form 61 maps illustrated by relative abundance individual cyst taxa recent marine sediments from Atlantic Ocean and adjacent basins, Antarctic region (South Atlantic, southwestern Pacific southern Indian sections), Arabian Sea northwestern Pacific. synthesis is based on integration literature sources together with data 835 surface prepared a comparable methodology taxonomy. The relationships between patterns species surface-water parameters (temperature, salinity, phosphate nitrate concentrations) are documented graphs depicting relation to seasonal annual values above mentioned at sample sites. Two ordination techniques (detrended correspondence analysis canonical analysis) have been carried out statistically illustrate sea-surface conditions. Results compared previously published records an overview ecological significance each presented. Characterisations selected environments as well discussion about how additional processes such preservation transport could affected present dataset included. forms basic printed version international database that will be freely available within PANGAEA database: http://www.pangaea.de web site www.pangea.de/projects/dino-atlas .
