摘要: Ninety-two patients with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP) have been studied in order to define better the clinical features, course and prognosis of condition identify possible aetiological factors. The onset usually gradual but there a rapid rate 15 (16%) patients. Males more commonly affected than females. Weakness paraesthesiae most common symptoms pain frequently feature. Age ranged from 2 72 years. Sixty (65%) had relapsing 32 (35%) progressive or monophasic course; significantly earlier age disease. Thirty-two gave history preceding infection some other antecedent precipitating event higher titre for cytomegalovirus antibodies serum CIDP controls. followed up an average time approximately ten Most (73%) made good recovery independent, 7 either died completely immobilized as result their value treatment corticosteroid therapy, immunosuppressive agents plasma exchange is discussed.
