摘要: There has been a significant increase in the number of youth cafes and Garda Youth Diversion Projects Ireland. It could be argued that they represent two differing approaches to work; generally ‘universal’ approach, while are more representative ‘targeted’ approach. This paper will consider both initiatives context work Ireland, setting their emergence development against backdrop work’s traditions values, also acknowledging changing nature field questioning current direction work. question extent which these developments reflect core values go on suggest cafes, if properly funded truly grounded work, have great potential engage young people as critical active participants communities society.
