摘要: Le livre d'Alan Heimert, La religion et l'esprit americain, publie il y a une trentaine d'annees, etudie la relation de Revolution americaine. Cet article commence par un compte-rendu composition ce livre, son but des reactions qu'il engendrees. Puis montre que le changement courants intellectuels sociaux fin annees 70 pendant les 80 cree atmosphere academique qui encourage nouvelle generation d'erudits reprendre beaucoup l'argumentation Heimert.
