摘要: Abstract This paper contributes to research into environmental certification schemes in the hospitality industry, by discussing three objectives of such schemes: (1) promote implementation sustainability practices industry; (2) increase profitability; and (3) provide more accurate information guests. provides a first insight perception managers towards schemes. Interviews with 21 London from range star-rated hotels, an analysis 196 websites indicates that these are not all achieved. It is discussed how knowledge hoteliers helps against claims ‘greenwash’. The effect certifications on profitability, however, questioned, due limited communication failing guests information. Implications, recommendations limitations discussed.
