摘要: Emerging mobility-aware content delivery ap- proaches are being proposed to cope with the increasing usage of data from vehicular users. The main idea is forecast user locations and associated link capacity, then proactively counter service fluctuations in advance. For instance, a that heading towards low coverage can be prioritized have video prebuffered. While reported gains encouraging, results primarily based on assumptions perfect prediction. Investigating predictability mobility future signal variations therefore imperative evaluate practical viability such predictive paradigms. To this end, paper presents large-scale measurement study 33 repeated trips along 23.4km bus route covering urban sub-urban areas Kingston, Canada. We provide thorough analysis collected traces investigate effects geographical area, time, forecasting window, contextual factors as lights stops. dataset also used several other ways further drive research delivery.
