摘要: This chapter discusses the application of mass spectrometry to functional and structural characterization proteins. Mass techniques commonly applied both proteomics (identity expression level proteins) proteins (post-translational modifications, tertiary structure stability, subunit composition, molecular shape) are discussed. The reviews current historical methodologies for these applications, provides an in-depth description instrumentation requirements, highlights some examples used. Overall, biophysical, biochemical, analytical, biological aspects protein spectrometry.
