摘要: For patients who present to clinicians with palpable breast lesions the "triple test:" (physical examination mammography and fine-needle aspiration cytology) can be employed provide accurate diagnosis. In this study sensitivity specificity predictive values of triple test components were studied separately in combination. During period (from January 1998 December 1999) 140 masses subjected all followed by confirmatory open biopsy. Physical showed 82.6% 97.3% 86.4% positive value. Mammography 87.5% value cytology (FNAC) 91.7% 100% concordant cases (elements had either malignant or benign results). The was diagnosis whenall three elements concordant. Based on these results we recommend elimination biopsy which will result reduced expenses morbidity compared (authors)
