摘要: Livestock is traditionally the central commodity for Somali pastoralists of Ethiopia, a that fulfils numerous purposes required to sustain livelihoods. commodification, however, not limited animal sales. Milk fundamental element life, used as primary source food young animals and human consumption. In Region, herders now sell milk, an act was taboo, supplement their income. Thus individuation, processes detach thing from its traditional context purpose convert it into commodity, has occurred. This paper deals with recent phenomenon commodification by identifying degree reasons milk individuation in Region Ethiopia. The analysis shows extent been separated addresses cultural economic impacts individuation.
