Selective Impairment by Nitrogen Narcosis of Performance on a Digit-Copying and a Mental Task

摘要: To assess the effects of nitrogen narcosis 16 male divers were tested on a digit-copying and mental task. After surface testing, under water; 8 started at 3 m followed by 30 (Group A), other B). For all divers, performance was compared it found that significantly impaired 2L% (p 0.2). there no significant difference between impairment Group A (19%) B (23%). However, in task analysis variance revealed Groups x Conditions interaction (p<0.01); actually showed an improvement (11%) while (21%). It seems advisable that, when diver has to perform novel complicated depth where he is influenced narcosis, should practice first ...
