摘要: Abstract Educating individuals who seek information about genetic testing for cancer susceptibility is a complex task. Because of the psychological and social risks to patients being identified as susceptible disorder, it important that education take place before patient undergoes gene testing. However, not known will provide such education. Since primary care physicians have limited knowledge, time, confidence with counseling, they are ideal educators. Genetic counselors well trained service, but many lack access them. Other specialists scarce. Interactive computers hold much promise supplemental or alternative modality The authors describe their experience developing an interactive CD‐ROM on breast cancer, respond anticipated criticisms this technology.
