Modeling and analysis of a hybrid optical switching system with delay buffer and wavelengths classification

摘要: Optical Circuit Switching (OCS) provides a good support for the services requiring high bandwidth and Quality of Service (QoS). When character network traffic changes from voice-oriented to data-oriented, OCS must cooperate with new switching mechanisms such as Burst (OBS) improve performance. So Hybrid (HOS) system is proposed. In HOS, different traffics are classified both OBS can be processed. At same time, delay buffer mechanisms, which Fiber Delay Line (FDL) electronic buffering, introduced in HOS solve contention bursts. And wavelengths classification mechanism, assigns some dedicated traffics, provided guarantee QoS OCS. To analyze performance theory, models based on Markovian theory iterative method provided. The results got by accurate compared simulations. use decrease blocking probability increase resource utilization. Wavelength mechanism benefits OCS's
