摘要: Abstract The physicochemical properties of the ionic liquid (IL) 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium methanesulfonate ([bmim][MS]) in combination with water were evaluated through density, viscosity, surface tension, conductance, cyclic voltammetry, absorption and emission spectroscopic measurements. Binary mixtures studied both water-rich [bmim][MS]-rich regions (0.01 mM–4.96 M). static dynamic binary combinations density viscosity [bmim][MS] decreased tension water, from which excess area per molecule determined at air–liquid surface. equivalent conductance an infinite dilution was data because system obeyed Debye–Huckel–Onsager formalism. Cyclic voltammetry measurements revealed formation some metastable organized structures specific compositions. spectral behavior anionic dye eosin Y found to be dependent on concentration region. A significant change steady state anisotropy excited lifetime fluorophore occurred above 1.0 M correlated medium. It concluded that aggregation into micelle-like aggregates concentration, significantly altered different physiochemical parameters mixture.
