摘要: Light plays an important role in poultry development, production performance, health, and well-being. technology continues to advance, accordingly new light products are finding applications operations. However, research concerning responses of young adult laying hens sources is relatively lacking. This study assessed the choice between a Dim-to-Red poultry-specific light-emitting diode (LED) (PS-LED, correlated color temperature or CCT = 2000K) warm-white fluorescent (FL, 2700K) by pullets (W-36 breed) via preference test. Birds with different prior lighting experiences were evaluated for their choice, including (1) (14 16 weeks age WOA) reared under incandescent (designated as PINC), (2) layers (44 50 PS-LED (LLED) throughout pullet phases, (3) FL (LFL) phases. Each bird category consisted 12 replicates, three birds per replicate. replicate involved 6-day test, during which could move freely two interconnected compartments that contained FL, respectively. Time spent feed intake each measured then analyzed generalized linear mixed models. Results showed regardless experience, all cases stronger (p 0.001 0.030), evidenced higher proportions time it. Specifically, proportion (mean ±SEM) versus was 58.0% ±2.9% vs. 42.0% PINC, 53.7% ±1.6% 46.3% LLED, 54.2% ±1.2% 45.8% LFL. daily occurring comparable 0.419 0.749). The thus reveals experience did not affect PS-LED. While exhibited somewhat this tendency translate into differences use type.
