摘要: OBJECTIVES/HYPOTHESIS Evaluate the reading difficulty of Spanish patient education materials using validated Indice Flesch-Szigriszt (INFLESZ) and Lexile Analyzer, to identify relationships between English readability formulas. STUDY DESIGN Cross-sectional analysis. METHODS All otolaryngology-related articles written in from health libraries top 10 US News & World Report-ranked hospitals, Doximity-ranked otolaryngology residencies, American Academy Otolaryngology-Head Neck Surgery website, National Library Medicine online section on ears, nose throat were collected. Reading was assessed INFLESZ Analyzer. Additional assessments included traditional tools: Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level, Flesch Ease Score, Simple Measure Gobbledygook score. RESULTS A total 497 reviewed.
