摘要: In skeletal pathology diagnosis, most tumors and tumor-like conditions can be diagnosed with routine hematoxilin eosin stain. However, sometimes, this basic technique insufficient. Histochemical methods permit evaluating the state of ossification process intracellular activated enzymes (PAS, mucin stain, Congo red, von Kossa, etc.). Electron microscopy, flow cytometry, histomorphometry have limited diagnostic uses. Immunohistochemical staining has been a helpful aid, especially in diagnosis round-cell tumors, metastatic disease, Langerhans cell histiocytosis, vascular tumors. Karyotyping, molecular cytogenetic techniques such as FISH, like blotting, PCR, others but effective application some specific bone tumors’ diagnosis.
