摘要: Abstract A genetic algorithm (GA) was adopted to optimise the response of a composite laminate subject impact. Two different impact scenarios are presented: low-velocity slender laminated strip and high-velocity rectangular plate by spherical impactor. In these cases, GA's objective to, respectively, minimise peak deflection penetration varying ply angles. The GA coupled commercial finite-element (FE) package LS DYNA perform analyses. comparison with optimisation package, OPT, also made. results showed that robust, capable tool produced near optimal designs, performed well respect OPT for more complex scenario tested.
