摘要: A prairie dog (Cynomys ludovicianus) colony with a known history of habitation was studied to quantify the effects herbivory on plant species composition, dominance, stature and diversity in North American mixedgrass prairie. Gradient analysis used relationship between community structure, density, burrow density document community-level responses plants subjected heavy grazing pressure. The results type, rate extent change which populations communities may undergo response differential variously tolerant defoliation.
