摘要: AbstractIdebenone (IDE) is a lipophilic benzoquinone electron carrier synthetic analogue of coenzyme Q10, which behaves as an antioxidant and free radical scavenging molecule. Recently, the therapeutic application IDE in Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy has been discussed. This work was aimed at evaluating encapsulation solid–lipid nanoparticles (SLN). In particular, we tested possibility adapting quasi-emulsion solvent diffusion technique, already proposed to produce polymeric nanoparticles, prepare positively charged SLN with different compositions. Such charge, due addition cationic lipid, would facilitate interaction negatively eye surface epithelium, consequent longer pre-corneal residence time colloidal systems. preliminary evaluation produced IDE-loaded SLN, activity drug demonstrated using oxygen absorbance capacity assay. Encapsulation nanocarrier...
