摘要: A surgical procedure for the catheterization of external saphenous vein 1 00to l2O-day-old ovine fetus in utero has been described. Daily changes blood acid-base parameters and plasma metabolite cortisol concentrations were measured vivo to determine physiological state following intrauterine surgery. Though gas values returned stable day surgery, glucose, lactate alpha amino nitrogen betahydroxybutyrate levels took 5 days do so. It is concluded that a minimum should elapse surgery before metabolic experiments are undertaken.
