摘要: EPIDERMAL ESCALATION The ability of the membrana tympani to reconstruct itself is exceeded only by its failure do so in some instances. In same hour I have observed a minute perforation several years' duration, and "new growth" membrane which had formed after radical operation on mastoid, extending from anterior wall canal posterior mastoid cavity, completely partitioning tympanum, with surface area about equal that 5 cent piece. This was perfectly transparent, apparently consisting epidermal layer, growing posteriorly vestige border, as proliferation proceeds this direction. How frail poorly nourished reconstruction possible when all layers an abundant blood supply failed close can be explained basis
