摘要: Hepatitis C virus is a major global health concern with 170 million people chronically infected. Despite the availability of potent antiviral agents targeting multiple HCV proteins and cure rates above 90%, treatment availability, likelihood emerging drug-resistant viral variants unavailability protective vaccine underline many unresolved questions remaining to be answered. Model systems allowing dissection individual life cycle steps have previously been developed span noninfectious infectious means assessing entry replication, cellular enabling host/pathogen interaction studies as well in vivo model for basic translational research. This review provides an overview available comparative summary assays models.
