摘要: As the Internet becomes critical information infrastructure for both personal and business applications, fast reliable routing protocols need to be designed maintain performance of those applications in presence failures. The interdomain protocol, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), is glue that pieces together various diverse networks or ASes comprise global today. This chapter focuses on protocol its reliability by (i) providing an overview BGP, (ii) offering a framework understanding how undesirable states such as persistent oscillation, transient failures, loops can arise, (iii) presenting methodology measuring extent these affect quality end-to-end packet delivery, (iv) describing proposed solutions routing.
