摘要: AbstractA unified boundary layer and shallow convection parameterization based on a stochastic eddy-diffusivity/mass-flux (EDMF) approach is implemented tested in the Navy Global Environmental Model (NAVGEM). The primary goals of this work are to improve representation convectively driven layers coupling between cumulus regions. Within EDMF framework subgrid vertical fluxes calculated as sum an eddy-diffusivity part, which current implementation developed by Louis late 1970s, mass-flux parameterization. model for both dry moist convective thermals. Dry thermals, represent surface-forced coherent structures flow, provide countergradient mixing and, if conditions permit, roots Moist thermals clouds. new single-column mod...
